All rentals at Heston Car Hire are governed by a comprehensive Rental Agreement, which you will receive upon booking confirmation or vehicle collection. In case of any discrepancies between these Terms and the Rental Agreement, the terms in the Rental Agreement will prevail.
Eligibility Criteria
Rental Vehicle Requirements
- To rent a vehicle from Heston Car Hire, you must be at least 21 years old, although age restrictions may differ based on the vehicle type. Drivers under 25 may incur additional fees. A valid driving licence for the specific vehicle category, held for the required duration stated in the Rental Agreement, is necessary. You will also need to present valid identification, proof of address, and payment information, including a security deposit. Additional criteria may apply as outlined in the Rental Agreement.
Booking and Payment Details
- Bookings with Heston Car Hire can be made easily via our website, by phone, or in person at our Heston location. A deposit may be required to confirm your reservation. Full payment and a security deposit are usually collected at the time of vehicle pickup. All prices are listed in British Pounds (£) and include VAT where applicable. We accept major credit and debit cards, ensuring secure transactions through trusted payment processors.
4. Vehicle Pickup and Drop-off
- Upon collecting your vehicle from Heston Car Hire, you are required to conduct a thorough inspection and report any pre-existing damage without delay. A vehicle condition report will be prepared and signed by both parties. It is your responsibility to return the vehicle in its original condition, accounting for normal wear and tear. Any new damage will be evaluated and charged accordingly. The vehicle should be returned with the same fuel level as at pickup; failure to do so will result in refueling charges. Late returns may incur additional fees, so please notify us promptly if you anticipate any delays. Moreover, you will be accountable for any parking fines, traffic violations, or other charges incurred during the rental period, along with an administrative fee.
Insurance and Liability Overview

Additional insurance options may be available to lower your financial responsibility. You remain liable for any damage or loss up to the excess amount, unless additional insurance applies. Any damage resulting from negligence or misuse is your responsibility, irrespective of insurance coverage.

Prohibited Activities
Prohibited Uses for Rental Vehicle
- Vehicles rented from Heston Car Hire must not be used for illegal activities or purposes. This includes participation in racing, rallying, off-roading, or any dangerous pursuits. Transporting hazardous materials is prohibited. Sub-letting vehicles or allowing unauthorized drivers is not allowed. Driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs, exceeding passenger or weight limits, and driving outside the agreed geographical boundaries without authorization are also violations of our terms.
Violation may lead to immediate rental cancellation and fees.
Limitation of Responsibility
To the fullest extent allowed by English and Welsh law, Heston Car Hire disclaims any liability for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, including loss of profits, data, or business resulting from your use of our services. Our total liability for any claims will not exceed the rental amount paid within the last 12 months. This limitation does not apply to liability for death or personal injury due to negligence or fraud.
